Peer & Alumni
Our Mentorship Programs
Members of the professional mentorship program are paired with alumni mentors in an industry in which they hope to gain insight. The intention of this position is to bridge the gap between undergraduates and alumni to spark lasting relationships and set students up for success. Through this program we also support those WiF members away on co-op outside of Boston to ensure they are supported by Women in Finance alumnae working in said city.
Through our Peer Mentorship program we pair members with a mentor or mentee and group those pairs into families to strengthen their bonds with other women in finance. We host community events for mentors and mentees to attend together and encourage them to attend WiF programming together. In the past these events have included pumpkin painting, potlucks, and a Galentine’s Day event. The goal is to cultivate a safe space for the mentees to learn about their interests in finance through the resources of their mentors’ experiences and connections, as well as a community where mentors can share their stories to guide others in the right direction.
